The 4.5-inch smartphone is hitting Walmart in May for 8.88 and probably comes with contract on AT&T. It packed with a 1.2GHz Hummingbird CPU, an 8-megapixel camera with HD video capture, 1.3-megapixel front-facing for video calling, and Android 2.2 (Froyo).

The last time we heard about the HTC Thundebolt pricing pointed at 9 via Best Buy. Unfortunately, that won’t be the case anymore. The Thunderbolt will be hitting Best Buy for 9 with a two-years agreement. This means a increase in price by Best Buy.

If you are intended to obtained the device without contract, you will have to pay 9. The handset has been surrounded with several unpleasant matters. Starting from price issues, slipped release dates, failed Skype video chat support and even public wifi issues. We are not sure why the sudden increase in pricing.
