The first Windows Phone 7 offering from Samsung mobile phones – the second largest mobile phone manufacturer in the world – is the Samsung Omnia 7.  Operating on the new Windows Phone 7 system, the Samsung Omnia 7 is a cutting edge smartphone boasting sleek good looks and some high end features. 

The Samsung Omnia 7 boasts a Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen, which makes for razor sharp visual displays, crystal clear images and brilliant colours.  With appealing good looks, the Samsung Omnia 7 delivers on many levels.  It has high connectivity and offers a speedy all-round performance, from browsing the web to composing emails on its efficient QWERTY keyboard. 

High quality photographs and videos can be produced on the excellent 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, and the handset comes with a variety of pre-installed apps that work very well.  These include the ‘Now’ feature which compares to the Google News & Weather app on Android powered phones.  The Zune music player facility is of superb quality and is a major bonus. 

Overall, the Samsung Omnia 7 offers aesthetic good looks and an all-round slick performance.  Features such as the capacity to synch social media such as Facebook and email accounts work beautifully, and the camera and music functions are superb.  Despite offering less apps than users of Android smartphones or Apple iPhones will be used to, the Samsung Omnia 7 more than compensates with its ease of use and truly excellent AMOLED screen.
